BOOKING AND INFORMATION

Suzy and Mark

We only take small groups of passengers on The Dive Bus, so it’s never too crowded and the dive groups are never too big. But it does mean that the trips fill up early so make sure you reserve your spots to avoid disappointment.

Due to the limited number of passengers we can take out each day, reservations must be confirmed with a credit card or a cash deposit of $25 / 45 NAF per person which will be deducted from your final balance. If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, the deposit is totally refundable. However, for no shows or cancellations within 24 hours, the deposit is non-refundable.

Please note that special conditions apply for Groups.

To make a reservation, just email us or call us: (+ 599 9) 461 0752. Leave a message if we’ve gone diving and we’ll call you right back on our return.

• Picnic lunch
• Dive Master
• Refresher dives where needed
• Island, marine and useful diving information
• Fresh water showers after diving
• Chairs for chilling

Guided Dives
There’s always a Dive Master on our dives as an underwater guide, making sure you don’t get lost, pointing out things of interest and generally helping you feel more comfortable and relaxed so you enjoy the dives more.

But don’t forget that the Dive Master isn’t there to think for you! If you’re not comfortable about your diving knowledge or skills, or can’t for the life of you remember how to use that RDP-thing or which way round you fit your BCD onto your tank, ask any of the Dive Bus Crew who’ll be more than happy to help you out.

Don’t want to follow the crowd? Then don’t. You and your buddy are most welcome to make your own dives. Just make sure that you listen to the dive briefing so you understand the layout of the site and any odd quirks, remain within your own limits of comfort, safety and training – and don’t miss the Bus back! There’s a sign in/out sheet to make sure we don’t leave anyone behind unintentionally…

Refresher Dives
If you haven’t dived in the last 18 months you’ll need to do a quick Refresher course as you’ll be surprised how much you’ve forgotten. This is for your comfort, safety and peace of mind, as well as that of your fellow divers. It’s also for the protection of the reef, as serious amounts of damage can be inflicted on the corals (and yourself) through bad buoyancy and diver error.

We can run Refresher courses on any of our drive and dive trips. Whilst the others are making their first dive, you’ll start with a quick review of theory on the beach, followed by skills practice in confined (shallow) water, so your confidence, comfort and skill levels will be much higher by the time you join the others for the second dive.

There’s no additional charge for this but please let us know in advance for staff scheduling purposes.

Dive courses
Why not take your Advanced course whilst you’re here, or become a Specialist diver? Or maybe it’s about time you persuaded your friend to get certified at last? No problem. We can arrange whatever courses you’d like, and the great thing is that you can still spend time with your friends and family whilst doing them. Let us know what you’re interested in doing, when and how many people. The more of you on the course, the lower the price.

Perhaps it’s finally time you did a try dive on a Discover Scuba Diving course? It only takes a couple of hours and will open a door to a whole new world that you simply can’t imagine until you’ve tried it… Try diving with The Dive Bus, then relax on the beach and share the experience with your friends and family. We’ll even take your photo and put it on the website as proof that you did it for the folks back home!

Dive Groups
Scuba diving clubs, university groups, groups of diving friends – you’re all welcome on board The Dive Bus. Group pricing starts with a minimum of 4 divers and special terms and conditions apply.

Charter The Dive Bus for your own group or share with our other divers, the choice is yours. If The Dive Bus isn’t big enough for your group, don’t worry, we’ll make the necessary arrangements.

Why not mix and match some shore diving with some boat diving? Throw in a few island excursions? An exhilarating ATV adventure? We can also help out with accommodation, from classy hotels to cheap and cheerful apartments. Whatever you like, we can arrange it for you or simply point you in the right direction. Just email us your requirements, dates and numbers and we’ll send you a sample itinerary with prices and details of our special terms and conditions.

Accommodation
We have links with a bunch of hotels and apartments on the island and are happy to recommend someplace, or make the arrangements for Dive Bus customers. Just email us your requirements, numbers, dates and price range.

Safety
Whilst you’ll find The Dive Bus a pretty relaxed and fun experience, we are serious about safety. Here are the rules which we expect all Dive Bus divers to follow:
• Certified divers only on the dives
• Recent divers only: you’ll need to do a Refresher Dive if you haven’t dived within the last 18 months
• No solo diving, even if you’re certified as such
• Dive within the limits of your training and capabilities
• Absolutely no diving after drinking alcohol
• Follow and respect The Dive Bus Eco Policy

We carry the following equipment on board The Dive Bus, all of which you’ll be familiarised with during the Bus briefing:
• DAN O2 kit
• First aid kit
• Cellular phone
• Phone card
• Binoculars
• Emergency Action Plan
• Imperial and metric RDPs for dive planning.
• Spares

All Dive Bus Crew members are first-aid trained.

For groups of more than 4 divers, we have a dry person on shore lookout.

Dive Masters carry and deploy safety sausages on reaching depths of 15ft / 5m in order to be visible to boat traffic or people on the beach. If you’re planning on diving without the Dive Master, we highly recommend that you bring your own visibility equipment.

Don’t worry, we saw the movie, Open Water! Our sign in/out sheet ensures that we won’t leave any one behind – at least, not unintentionally...
