DIVING CURACAO

curacao divingIf you thought Curaçao was just a bright blue cocktail mixer you’d be half right. It is, and it comes from the island of Curacao in the Netherlands Antilles, just off Venezuela. Aruba lies to the west of Curacao with Bonaire to the east. The three islands are often referred to as the ABCs.

curacao divingCuracao is the biggest of the three islands and has a lot going on in terms of restaurants, bars, shops, diving and hotels. It’s an extremely diverse island in all aspects – geography, language, food, culture, architecture, flora and fauna – and is well worth exploring. For more information click here.

The diving on Curacao is excellent. It’s usually Bonaire that gets all the press for its superb diving whilst Curacao remains one of the best-kept diving secrets in the Caribbean. But with only a few miles separating the two islands, it’s not surprising that Curacao shares the same mild currents, tropical water temperatures, excellent visibility and enormous diversity of marine life that Bonaire’s renowned for. curacao diving

Like Bonaire, Curacao also offers great diving but anyone who’s been shore diving already knows that it can be hard work sometimes. Renting the car, figuring out the map, finding the diving site, gearing up without filling your wetsuit with sand and mud, breaking your fin strap when you don’t have a spare, getting short fill tanks, not actually be able to find the beach never mind being able to find the reef or your way back, forgetting to bring water, driving back in the dark when you’re all sticky from the salt water and hungry because the ants got to your lunch before you did….

You can forget all that on a shore dive trip with The Dive Bus. We do all the hard work for you so The Dive Bus drive and dive trips in Curacao are as easy and comfortable as possible for you. This is the way shore diving should be done.

Shore diving is the only thing we do, so on The Dive Bus, we do it right.
