Location:
10 minutes from The Dive Bus Hut, 20 minutes from Punda / Piscadera. Close to Caracasbaai, Tugboat and Directors Bay where we usually make another dive and have lunch.
Facilities:
Dive shop on site, bathrooms, restuarant.
Beach:
This is a man-made resort area with a small sandy beach for non-divers and sunbeds for rent.
Shore entry:
Gear up in the car park and walk through the resort area - a couple of minutes. Entry is down a short ladder.
Swim out:
About 5 minutes. Can be waves to swim out through, but just snorkel them and enjoy the view. Current can be fairly strong due to its location (quite exposed) but worth it.
Dive:
We usually just make one dive here and go left or right depending on current. A beautiful site with a complete mixture of hard and soft corals and plants on a gradual wall. Lots and lots of fish life here - often some of the larger fish not common to other dive sites - again due to its location. A really beautiful dive site and well worth diving.
Non-divers:
Hang out on the beach, the bar or check out some of the small tourist shops at the resort.
Whats so special?:
This is the only 'resort' dive site that we dive with The Dive Bus because the dive itself is really pretty. As we only make one dive here, the other dive is usually at Caracasbaai, Tugboat or Directors Bay which - in our opinion - are nicer locations for relaxing on the surface interval or having your picnic lunch.
