Join The Dive Bus for International Clean Up Day 2010 - Sunday 26 September Last September the Dive Bus International Clean Up team were some of the 10,600 scuba divers who helped to remove 555,000 pounds of debris from the world's oceans, beaches and waterways. That's TWICE the amount collected the previous year! However, more than six million tonnes of debris enter our world’s ocean every year, causing harm to underwater environments and wildlife. So we need a few more helpers - and not just on clean up days but every day. This year's The Dive Bus's 6th International Clean Up Day, organised by Project AWARE, is taking place on Sunday 26 September. Our last clean up in April 10, also at Pierbaai, made it onto the Project AWARE website (click here) and it's awesome to see that you Dive Bus divers' efforts are being recognised - HUGE thanks! EVERYONE is welcome to help clean up the beach, shallow bay area (perfect for snorkelers) and Pierbaai Reef - every little helps. Details as follow: - Sunday 26 September, 2010 (not 25th!)
