Thank you so much for your help and attention..  It was our wish to dive with you but our schedule of doing four dives a day wasn't possible with you.  I certainly wish it hadn't been the case - our experience with Ocean Encounters wasn't the the best one we have had to experience. I will not dive with them again.  I will however recommend your operation when writing my report for Canadian Sport divers based on the feed back we received from others who did..

Breeses Hotel has mentioned having us return as their guest. I will then look forward to the opportunity of diving and meeting with you.

Yours truly,

We would like to say thank you for all the wonderful dives. The personal and family-like mentoring provided by the "Dive-Bus-Team" was very pleasant. We all had a feeling of great security with you.

Of course, we will dive with the "Dive-Bus-Team" again when we come back to Curacao next time.

Best wishes

As Britney Spears once said :  YES,  WE DID IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a "killing team" we won again!!!  It's getting boring to win again, sorry hahaha, but great thanks to Suus and Jules of our team of course!

Lots of thanks to the Dive Bus who organized the Games and the Clean Up and gave the wonderful prizes! A nice clean-up with less trash then the last year, so let's keep it up guys and girls!

Photos are here and here - there are some nice ones!

Greetings from Sunny but cold Vancouver. Its great to be home and I am enjoying the pampering I am getting after the three weeks in Curacao. It all wears off pretty soon.

I am looking into doing some diving here - Brrrrrrrrr!!! - but Holly told me I gotta practice my kicks and a host of other things.......

Thank you for your email and for teaching me an enjoyable skill.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi to everyone at Dive Bus,

We arrived safely back in a rather miserable UK, and you could say it brought us down to earth with a bang.

It was an incredible experience visiting Curacao particularly the diving which was out of this world compared to the Med. Curacao will remain in our thoughts for a future visit and if it comes off we will certainly give you a call.

Thanking you for looking after us and best wishes for your continuing success.

We’ve just started to look at our pictures, (yes the CD’s you burned work great) and don’t know to begin to thank you guys again for all the great dives and fun we had on our visit to Curacao again this year.

We really feel like we’re at home when we are at the Dive Bus: you, Mark, Holly, Jan and Eugene really made us feel like we are one of the gang (as strange as that gang might be ;o) )

We really appreciate all the extras you all do for us—like Mark and Holly carrying my gear, closing the Hut for the night so we could have that special, extra awesome night dive together, and running all those private day trips for us, the pictures yadda, yadda, yadda I can go on forever.  And for giving Tom a dive buddy ;o)

Please tell Jan we’re sorry we missed her on the last day, but we’ll always remember her elation when she was able to breath again after her test (and drink beer of course!)

Believe it or not we’ve already read the August newsletter, and we’ll never look at a wedge of cheese the same again!!!!!  There was a cheese shop in the Curacao airport and we wanted to use the cheese wheels as props for pictures, but they wouldn’t go for it :o))   And did you know they don’t accept beer tokens in the states?? How strange.

I just wanted to drop you all a note and say how much fun it was diving with Holly and "the Bus."  You all run a real class operation.

Holly was absolutely a joy to meet and become friends with, you just have to be forever friends with her...  Meeting Mark was an added bonus, a man as busy as this took valuable time to sit and chat with us, made a big impression.

Jan... of course you passed the tests!! Good D.I.T.!!!!

The next time we come to Curacao, we will definitely dive with "the Dive Bus" again.

Have a great winter season, until we meet again...  Stay wet!

Thanks for another great dive trip.  It was great to see you guys again and the kids had a great time.  Three years in a row and each time I don't want to leave.

The best part was the Dive Bus that still provides the best personal service and attention that can be surpassed by no others.  Don't worry we will be back next year and the kids will be diving as well.  Only 10 more months.

Terri and Sal really wanted to make this trip but they will have to wait until next year.  No worries we will rub it in when we meet them in Hawaii next week...

Thank you very much for the pics.  We had a wonderful time diving with you guys and will eventually make our way back to the island.  We showed the pics to our friends & family and they now want us to take them everywhere we visited….Wow, that’s a lot of dive sites.  I think the best idea is to drop them off with one of you for an open water course while we explore new areas.  It’s amazing all the marine life we were able to see and can’t wait to get back in the 82º F water. Our saltwater aquarium now looks like a cheap peace of crap!

The Advanced Open Water course was a really good idea and we look forward to becoming master divers some day.  It’s amazing that we received our PADI advanced cards in the mail 3 days after being certified…now that’s service!  Hopefully, we can save up some $$ and signup for the next course.

It was a real pleasure meeting/diving with all of you. Every dive was a new learning experience for both of us.

We absolutely had a blast with the Dive Bus and it exceeded our greatest dive expectations!!!!! Your kind, friendly personalities makes the course instruction actually enjoyable….even on vacation.  We highly recommend your services to anyone and 100% agree with all the good comments on the internet.   I’m serious about opening a brewery someday on Curacao with large 22 oz beers….it would DEFINETLY be a hit!

P.S. We would like to comment that Mark should patent the “Seahorse” underwater sign…..it’s a real money maker :> haha. When he actually performed the maneuver underwater we about gagged on our regulators….absolutely hilarious!!!!!!

The way you all made us so enthausiastic and the personal but always professional approach made our holiday one to remember!

Again, thanks for a great time and hope to see you soon; we will definitely come back and hope to dive with you again since there is still so much to discover in this fantastic world under water.

I wanted to thank you for a great week of diving and chit-chat.  It was like diving with friends, not a dive operation. You guys really know customer service and that is very rare in today's world!    It was so easy diving with Mark and Holly and we got to see some very cool stuff.

Many thanks for the photo CD.  I looked at it yesterday and the photos are awesome. And thanks for the shirt and hat!  I love my new hat!!

We were hanging out with Patty and Dave (from the Texas group) at the airport and they also commented on how great you guys were. They were very happy they dove with you instead of the Breezes dive shop.

OK, now I’m off in search of a cheese head hat!  :o)

Thanks for a wonderful time, I fully enjoyed the service that you provided.  I will tell all of my diver buddies about your facility and hope they will give you a try...especially after how we were treated by the other guys!  They were rude, crude and completely unacceptable.  I've never been treated so rudely by a dive operation!

However, you provided just what we all wanted, personal service, friendly faces and a good time!

Thanks again from a diver who wished he could've dived more!  Hopefully, I'll see you next year, but it is too early to say for sure...meanwhile, I'm working on a little surprise for y'all to go with the  steak!  Enjoy the wonderful reefs, the weather and the friends to be....!  Miss you already,

Good Luck with the business, and we hope to see you next year!

Despite this disastrous trip,  it seems that my memory of the time diving with you guys is completely intact and untouched by all these and it brings a smile to my face when I think about it. Diving was the only reason that I traveled and I got the most of it still only because of you!

Thanks you so much for the generosity, fun, friendly and yet very professional environment that you provided!
I had an awesome time and  my diving has improved so much!

We really enjoyed ourselves in Curacao at The Dive Bus and also in Bonaire.

We really appreciated the way you have teached the Advanced course, we both felt really comfortable and safe, which made it more fun to dive. We hope to come back to Curacao one time (maybe we should marry again), hopefully we can see some more dive sites in Curacao withour pain in the ears. I attached a couple of pictures we shoot in Bonaire, the turtle we've been looking for in Curacao, we found it in Bonaire (4 times, first snorkeling, after that three time diving).

Thanks again, all the best for you too, and maybe we will be back in the future!

Thank you thank you thank you again.  It was all completely amazing.

We know, if not for Mark, we would not have been so lucky to see what we did.   He found us some of the true “brass rings” of diving—or at least our brass rings given some people have no idea what we’re talking about when we mention the baby trunkfish.

We just can’t wait for our next visit, and as predicted, I’m already perusing the web for deals…not sure if Curacao will be our next stop or not, but there’s a good chance you’ll see us for coral spawning this fall.  If not this year, then next for certain!

Thank you again!!!

Just wanted to send a quick note and thank you for the great time you showed us!  The dives were incredible and we had a great time meeting both of you and look forward to returning (hopefully soon) to get our logbooks stamped.

Also, if you had any details on the equipment we used, I'd love to know. Although we have our own gear, the BC and mask I rented fit much better than the ones I'm using now.

We really loved hanging out with both of you and can't thank Mark enough for helping us learn to appreciate the little things in the water (especially the juvie trunkfish).  Looking back at our pics from Grand Cayman and other places, I still don't think I've ever seen such a dense concentration of coral and life anywhere else.

Thanks!

We were so fortunate to run into Rodney and Cynthia on the Sun Princess and go and dive with this agency.

Mark and Andy were such great dive guides.  They were cautious to keep up with the group yet allowed us to explore on our own.  The 45 degree incline allowed an amazing field of vision!

The dive staff were friendly and I would love to go again.  I highly reccomend this group of people and the reef is so much better than what you would expect from a shore dive.

I did not realize just how great this was until our bad experience in Barbados!  You guys are awesome. We hope to come this way again!

It was a pleasure meeting you both when my 13-year-old son Grant and I were in Curacao in March, 2007. Due to George & Sonya (The Sea Aquarium) introducing us to you, we experienced some of the best hospitality, humor and expert dive instruction. Grant continuously talks about "his cool dive instructor" Mark and his week of diving at the Dive Bus, etc.

Thank you for helping me to provide a memory of a lifetime for Grant. He and I will both remember our time with you forever.

We'll be back every March for Spring Break and we'll stop by to say hello.

Very best regards,

....  We dove with The Dive Bus crew – Suzy, Mark and Andy. These guys are just awesome! They have an outstanding operation and cover all the details for you.

Typically, they would pick us up at the hotel and then cart us to a dive site. We’d do two dives and then they would return us to the hotel around 2 or 3 depending on the length of the SI. During the SI, they provided drinks and lunch. If you were hungry – you could eat or wait until after the 2nd dive.

We developed a great rapport with Mark and Andy and really felt like they handled the logistics and safety of the dives well. It really makes for a vacation when you have someone tending to the details and all you have to do is make sure you’re breathing deep...

... I am convinced that shore diving is the easiest way to dive – much more so than diving from a boat. No seasickness to deal with and no elaborate timings of swells to get back up on the ladder. You saddle up, walk into the water a couple yards and then flop back and slip on your fins. Do another 5-10 yards in a surface swim and then follow the wall down to depth. Technicolor everything under the waves and some of the finest people we’ve met in diving yet. We highly recommend Curacao as a dive destination. Dive safe!

Suzy and Mark,

Many thanks for our dive and snorkel trips last week.

It was so pleasant to deal with "real" people as so many of the people in the dive industry have an intolerable arrogance.  You run a first class operations!

I was very impressed with the briefing that Lauren and Lauren received prior to snorkeling at both locations.  It was wonderful to know that the girls were well taken care of while I dove.

We look forward to coming back and diving some of the other sites. Hopefully, I will be able to convince my Lauren to get certified.

Tell Andy, thanks for the cold.

Best regards

What a great time we had with The Dive Bus during our stay in Curacao! I mean really.

I cannot tell you what a pleasure it was to dive with Mark. He is the consummate professional and a real joy to be around. There was no better introduction to Curacao than to have Mark pick us up in the Bus and spend a day diving.

Not to be out done, Andy was a great way to finish our trip off there at the end. I'm glad we had the opportunity to spend time with him as well. It's the Scottish hospitality that makes a lasting impression.

We do regret not being able to hang out with Suzy during our stay. Our brief introduction just wasn't enough. Perhaps we'll have another opportunity in the future.

Please let us serve as a reference for any prospective clients you may have. I will be sure to post rave reviews on both Scubaboard and TripAdvisor.

We think the world of you both and wish you all the success and joy you can handle in the future...

Our warm regards from Texas...

This was our 2nd time staying at Breezes... ...There is also another dive shop right next door to Breezes called The Dive Bus that is very well run. They do shore diving all over the island and offer all the PADI courses. The dive masters/owners are fun to be around and they make diving fun and safe. Their instruction is number one!

We plan on going back as much as possible. Our teenage boys also like it at Breezes.

Dive Bus worth a spin!

After reading your article on Curacao (“Curacao: Southeastern Caribbean Destination Stakes a ‘Different Kind of Reputation,” November 2006), I came across your list of recommended diver operators on the island and couldn’t help but wonder, “How could you miss The Dive Bus”?

We traveled to the fabulous and ‘different’ island of Curacao in 2005, and were amazed at the hospitality, experience and all-round excitement of diving with The Dive Bus. The brightly coloured bus pulls up at your hotel, driven by Mark, with his lovely wife Suzy welcoming you to Curacao.

Once inside this colourful and interesting blue bus, you are given an overview of the company, what dive sites you will be diving today, as well as introduced to Doris, their stuffed animal mascot, a fish similar to those in ‘Finding Nemo.’

Thanks for the great article, however, I could see them left out of any Curacao vacation for beginner or experienced divers!

Dive Bus and Cheraldine Osepa tour review

...We were in Curacao from 7 am--4 pm. Prior to our cruise I had emailed MANY times with Suzy of the Dive Bus to set up a dive and also tour the island. Suzy has customer service plus! She was a gem to work with sorting out details and getting us set up for our day on Curacao .

We had a small group of 9 from our Cruise Critc Roll call who toured Curacao with Cheraldine Osepa and then 1 of  the group and myself did a 1 tank dive while the others snorkeled and/or beached it for the rest of the day...

....There is something for everyone at the Dive Bus Hut!!!! First off, Mark and Suzy run a wonderful dive shop! Customer service PLUS. They are great fun, laid back, knowledgeable, helpful and most importantly, safety conscious. Joe and I did a 1 tank dive with Mark--yes, just the 3 of us!

We did a shore dive at Pierbaai beach. Shore diving is a very relaxed way of entering the water--just walk out, fin up and down you go. We saw, Hawk's bill turtle, Lizard fish, Scorpion fish, Flounder, banded Coral shrimp, Porcupine fish, Baracuda and my personal favorite--a Flying Gurnard fish-- plus all of the other usual suspects...It was an absolutely fabulous dive!!!!

After the dive, we sat at the on the premises restaurant and Mark got out the fish ID book and showed us many of the unusual fish we had seen......One of the best dive master's I have had. Suzy is a gem to help you work out the details of your day on Curacao. Our dive was one of the highlights of the cruise for me.

Thanks Suzy, Mark and Cheraldine for a wonderful time on Curacao!

The entire staff at the Hilton was very friendly and helpful. If I were to return to Curacao, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to the Hilton...

On 4 days we went diving with the folks from the Dive Bus – Mark and Suzy. Curacao, like Bonaire, has lots of shore diving opportunities. The folks at Dive Bus will pick you up in the morning, take you diving, have rental equipment if you need it, furnish lunch during the surface interval, and return you to your hotel after a second dive. A great way to spend most of the day. The groups were always small and the diving was very good…healthy reefs and variety of marine life. Lots of small fishes, turtles, and even a seahorse. However, don’t expect to see lots of large animals.

My family and I just returned from a 2 week vacation in Curacao...In a word the diving was terrific...this was some of the finest diving that we’ve done. The reef is healthy and robust and the sea life is varied and plentifulGo here to read the full post.

We did the vast majority of our dives with the Dive Bus. Suzy, Mark, Andy and Kevin were fantastic. In Curacao I see no reason to do a boat dive, unless you like boat rides, we did nothing but shore dives and the Dive Bus took us from one end of the island to the other to dive and supplied everything we needed including a nice picnic lunch on the beach between dives.

Big plus for me was I never had to take any Gravol. Another plus for us was that they we’re quite willing to take along the non-diving members of the family so that we all got a guided tour of the island as well as great diving. We did 10 dives with the Dive Bus plus the 1 tank a day offered by Ocean Encounters at Breezes.

My experience with the Dive Bus was very good. They pick you up at your hotel , load all your dive gear in the van and take you to the dive site. During the surface interval they provide lunch. The pace was very relaxed and enjoyable. It felt like the combination of a diving and a picnic with close friends.
